New Goal!

So looking at the photos I've taken in the last few days (some with my phone, some with my camera).  I'm going to try and get a decent photo of a flying pterodactyl ... errrr... pelican.  Below is the pic that leads me to this goal since it's NOT what I was hoping to capture.

Time will tell.

And... here's a pretty hibiscus from my walk today.

Getting a Jump

So as not to miss another day... here's today's pic.

ALREADY?? lol

 LOL.

Already, I'm a day behind. SHEESH.  So here is YESTERDAY'S pic.

I took the picture, I thought about what I was going to write.  I failed hahahahaha.  Now I don't know what I was going to write!  Oh well.  Not that anyone will be reading this.  Here goes-

When we saw this little cove, this is all I could think of (except of course for the buildings in the far right side of the pic. PS -  I should have straightened it. UGH.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed,
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The Minnow would be lost, the Minnow would be lost.

The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan
The Skipper too,
The millionaire and his wife,
The movie star
The Professor and Mary Ann,*
Here on Gilligan's Isle.

Full Version Continues:

Now this is the tale of our castaways,
They're here for a long, long time,
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's an uphill climb.

The first mate and his Skipper too,
Will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable,
In their tropic island nest.

No phone, no lights, no motor car,
Not a single luxury,
Like Robinson Crusoe,
It's primitive as can be.

So join us here each week my friend,
You're sure to get a smile,
From seven stranded castaways,
Here on "Gilligan's Isle."

Oh.  And I MUST include the Manse!  Home again, home again, jiggity jig.
(yeah.  in my dreams!)

Today's Walk

I guess every post could be called Today's Walk -  well, until (and IF) baseball gets started.

Not much wildlife today -  a RUNNING turtle and a couple of hoomans -  but nothing else really to note.

Here's today's pic.  I took a few, this one wins!

Happy Birthday, Pat!

SO in keeping with the idea of writing every day -  but changing it to posting a pic every day... here I am writing hahahahaha

Just to mark the day -  Patty's b'day is today!  Here's a cloud pic because they are fluffy and nice.

And here's a cool flowery thing!  Wouldn't it be great if I bothered to find out what they're called?  NAH.  That's work -  this is busy fill in time's all.
I love to make up words.

With a couple of eyes and a nose, this could be a muppet!

Catching Up (as usual)

 Here's the pic for 1/11/22

Lovely "Tree Orchids" -  my name for this flowering tree.  It's on the bend of the "campus" and I pass it every day.

New Direction for this OLD Blog!

Someone said you should write something every day -  even if it's just a small entry about the weather.  I have tried.  I don't keep up -  so here is a new idea.

I will try and post one photo a day on this multi-purpose blog lol... while spending my days in Florida.

I would change the name of the blog... but instead I'll just name it in my head:

Clouds and Birds and Sunshine and Flowers and Maybe Some Animals Too!

So -  here is the first post!  It was taken out the window on the lanai (yeah. nice word) on the day we arrived.  It was a L O N G drive.  We left on Saturday at 0-dark-30 and arrived on Sunday about 2PM.  Glad we're here, but not happy about this ongoing pandemic.
